Every once in a while a build comes through that stops people at the counter, and this is one of them. Shark Coast Tactical took the proven Sig Sauer P365X and gave it a hand-drawn, cell-shaded Cerakote finish in white and black that makes the whole pistol look like a 2D illustration. The outline work and shading play a trick on your eyes in person, and no two angles look quite the same. It is part of the limited Komodo Anime Series, so this is not a finish you will bump into at every range.
The good news is the fun stops at the finish, because everything underneath is built to run. The 3.1 inch Zaffiri Precision threadless compensated barrel tames muzzle flip without adding a bulky attachment, which means faster follow-up shots and a package that stays compact enough to carry. The slide wears a custom optic cut so you can drop on a micro red dot, and night sights come standard for low-light work. The Komodo aluminum grip module is the real sleeper feature here. It adds rigidity and a touch of weight where you want it, and the laser-engraved stippling locks into your hand better than most factory polymer frames.
You get two 17-round double-stack magazines in the box, which is a lot of 9mm on tap for a pistol this size. The striker-fired action keeps the trigger consistent shot to shot, and the X-series grip length gives most hands a full purchase without printing like a duty gun.
This one lands in a fun spot. It is a legitimate everyday carry pistol with a compensator, optic cut, and real capacity, but it is also the kind of piece collectors grab because the anime finish is unlike anything else Sig has put out. Whether it rides in a holster or lives in the safe as the conversation starter of your collection, it earns its keep either way.
Yes, the slide has a custom optic cut that accepts popular micro red dots, but an optic is not included. The night sights come installed from the factory, so you have a solid sighting setup right out of the box while you decide on a dot.
The Zaffiri Precision barrel uses a threadless compensator design, so the comp is integrated into the barrel assembly rather than screwed onto a threaded muzzle. That keeps the overall length compact and eliminates the worry of a comp loosening up. The end result is noticeably less muzzle flip and quicker follow-up shots.
No, the cell-shaded design is a hand-drawn Cerakote finish applied by Shark Coast Tactical. Cerakote is a durable ceramic-based coating used throughout the firearms industry, so it holds up to handling and range use far better than any wrap or hydro dip would.
It works well as both. Underneath the artwork is a standard P365X platform known for reliability, with the added benefits of an aluminum grip module, compensated barrel, and 17-round capacity. Many buyers pick these up as limited-run collectibles, but there is nothing stopping this one from being a genuinely capable carry gun.
