The Sig Sauer P365X Komodo Anime is one of those guns that turns heads at the range before you even press the trigger. Shark Coast Tactical built this collaboration around a hand-drawn, cell-shaded anime design applied in a vibrant dayglow green Cerakote finish, giving it a look that's more art piece than off-the-shelf carry gun. But the platform under that finish is dead serious.
The Komodo grip module is machined from aluminum, not polymer, which gives the frame a noticeably more solid feel in the hand and adds useful front-end weight that works with the compensated barrel to keep muzzle flip in check. The laser-engraved stippling across the module provides a positive, non-slip grip surface without the sharp edges of aggressive hand-stippling jobs. The module also features double undercuts on the trigger guard for a higher, more consistent grip position and includes a Picatinny rail for light or laser mounting.
The 3.1-inch barrel pairs with a Zaffiri Precision threadless compensator, which redirects propellant gases upward through a single large V-cut port to reduce muzzle climb. Independent testing has shown this setup can reduce muzzle flip by up to 35%, and the threadless design means no NFA paperwork and no bulky adapter. It uses a ball-vise locking system to secure everything with a single set screw, keeping the overall footprint compact. For a pistol in this size class, the difference in follow-up shot speed is real.
The custom-cut slide comes optic-ready out of the box so you can mount a micro red dot without additional milling, and the night sights provide reliable target acquisition in low-light situations whether you run an optic or not. Two 17-round double-stack magazines ship with the gun, giving you 17+1 of 9mm on tap in a package that still carries reasonably in a quality IWB holster.
No, the optic is not included. The slide comes custom-cut and optic-ready from the factory, so you can mount your preferred micro red dot without sending it out for milling. The night sights that are included allow you to run the pistol iron-only right out of the box while you sort out an optic.
Instead of threading onto the barrel muzzle, the Zaffiri threadless comp attaches using a patent-pending ball-vise locking system that requires just a single set screw to secure. The compensator itself features a large V-cut port that redirects propellant gases upward, reducing muzzle climb and helping you get back on target faster between shots. It adds only about 0.6 inches to the overall slide length.
The compensated barrel extends slightly past a standard P365X slide, so holsters built strictly for the standard P365X may not close properly or clear the comp. Look for holsters specifically designed to accommodate a compensated P365X, or contact the holster manufacturer to confirm fitment before purchasing.
The finish is applied in Cerakote, which is a polymer-ceramic coating known for its resistance to abrasion, corrosion, and general wear. It is far more durable than a standard paint or hydro-dip application. That said, any finish will show wear over time with heavy holster use, so a quality holster with a smooth interior lining will help preserve the artwork.
It ships with two 17-round double-stack magazines, giving you 17+1 rounds of 9mm on board with a full magazine chambered. The double-stack design keeps the grip profile manageable for everyday carry while still offering a meaningful capacity advantage over single-stack compact pistols.
This is a collaborative build between Sig Sauer and Shark Coast Tactical. The pistol is built on the P365X fire control unit and slide, but the Komodo aluminum grip module, Zaffiri threadless compensated barrel, custom optic-cut slide work, laser-engraved stippling, and the hand-drawn anime Cerakote finish are all Shark Coast Tactical additions. It arrives as a complete, ready-to-shoot pistol.
