This version, model AC858, is bored for .338 caliber projectiles and cut with 3/4×24 threads, a common pattern on .338 Lapua Magnum and similar large-frame precision rifles. Construction is steel with a black finish that holds up to the heat and blast a magnum cartridge dishes out, and the whole unit runs about 2.5 inches long.
SilencerCo includes a shim set and Rocksett in the box, so you can time the ports correctly and lock the brake down without a trip to the gunsmith. Index the shims until the ports sit level, apply the Rocksett, torque it down, and you are set for both braked and suppressed shooting.

Check your barrel's thread specs before ordering, since some .338 rifles come with 5/8×24 or metric M18 threads instead. SilencerCo makes the ASR brake in those pitches too if yours differs.
Most folks can handle it at home. The package includes a shim set to time the ports so they sit level, plus Rocksett to secure the brake once it's indexed. A barrel vise or upper receiver block and a wrench make the job easier, but there's no permanent modification involved.
