The straight-pull bolt is the star here. Instead of the traditional lift, pull, push, drop motion, you just rack it straight back and forward. Savage's Hexlock system locks the bolt up tight, and the bolt handle can be swapped to either side, so left-handed hunters are not stuck adapting to a right-handed gun.
