The fast 1:7 twist is made for heavy .223 match bullets in the 69 to 80 grain range, like 75 grain BTHPs or 77 grain SMKs. Those heavier projectiles hold velocity and buck wind far better at distance. Lighter 55 grain loads will still shoot fine for practice, but the heavies are where this barrel shines.
Yes, the 26 inch stainless barrel comes threaded 5/8-24, which is a common thread pitch with wide muzzle device support. A brake isn't included from the factory, so plan on adding your own device or running the included thread protection until you do.
No sights or optics are included. The rifle ships with a one-piece 20 MOA rail on the receiver, so you're ready to mount a scope right away. The 20 MOA cant gives you extra elevation adjustment for stretching the .223 out to longer ranges.
