Savage fixed that with this version of the 110 Apex Hunter XP, a genuine left-hand bolt action chambered in .350 Legend and topped with a Vortex Crossfire II 3-9×40 that arrives mounted and bore-sighted. You'll still want to confirm zero with your hunting load, but the heavy lifting of rings, rail, and rough alignment is already done.
The .350 Legend chambering makes this an ideal pick for straight-wall country, and the 18 inch carbon steel barrel with a 1:16 twist keeps the rifle short and quick handling in a blind or thick timber. Overall length comes in around 38.25 inches with a weight of about 7.4 pounds scoped, which is easy to carry all day. Savage builds accuracy into the 110 platform with a button-rifled barrel, floating bolt head, and thread-in headspacing, the same recipe that has earned these rifles their reputation for shooting better than their price class.
The AccuTrigger is the standout here. It adjusts by the user for a light, crisp break with no creep, and the integrated safety blade keeps things secure until you intentionally press the trigger. The synthetic sporter stock includes inserts to tune length of pull from roughly 12.75 to 13.75 inches, so it fits smaller-framed hunters and bigger folks alike. The Crossfire II carries Vortex's Dead-Hold BDC reticle, with hashmarks that take the guesswork out of holdover on longer pokes across a bean field. Add the 4-round detachable box magazine and you have a complete southpaw deer rig that just needs ammo and a range session.
The Vortex Crossfire II 3-9×40 comes factory mounted on a one-piece EGW rail and bore-sighted, so the setup work is done for you. Bore-sighting gets you on paper, but it's not a substitute for a proper zero. Plan on a range session with your hunting ammo to fine-tune before the season opens.
This is a genuine left-hand Model 110 action, with the bolt handle and ejection set up for southpaws. That means you can run the bolt with your trigger hand without breaking your cheek weld, which makes follow-up shots noticeably faster and more natural for left-handed hunters.
