Description
Savage introduced the 110 Trailblazer as the lead rifle in its next generation of Model 110s, and it shows. You still get the time-tested 110 action with its jeweled bolt body and user-adjustable AccuTrigger, but it now sits in a Flat Dark Gray 110 Trophy synthetic stock with easy length of pull adjustment, letting you set the fit anywhere from roughly 12.75 to 13.75 inches without swapping parts. Chambered in .300 Winchester Magnum, this one has the reach and authority for elk, mule deer, bear, and just about anything else you would point a magnum at in North America.
What the 110 Trailblazer Brings to the Field
The 22 inch heavy sporter barrel is carbon steel with straight fluting to shed weight and heat, and the muzzle comes threaded so adding a brake or suppressor is a five minute job. The entire barreled action wears a Black Ink Cerakote finish, which is a genuinely useful upgrade for a hunting rifle that will see rain, snow, and truck bed miles. Up top there is a one piece 0 MOA Picatinny rail ready for the optic of your choice, and the near vertical grip puts your trigger finger right where it belongs. The AccuTrigger adjusts from 2.5 to 6 pounds, so you can dial in a crisp, light pull without a trip to the gunsmith.
Taming the .300 Win Mag
A .300 Win Mag can be a handful, and Savage clearly thought about that. The Trophy stock includes a LimbSaver recoil pad along with a soft comb that soaks up some of the punch while keeping your eye lined up behind the scope. At 7.6 pounds bare, the rifle carries well on long hikes but has enough heft to stay steady when the shot presents itself.
Feeding the Savage Trailblazer
Rounds feed from a detachable box magazine for a 3+1 capacity, which is plenty for a hunting rifle in this class, and the tang mounted safety falls naturally under the thumb. Add glass, zero it, and this is a magnum rifle that is ready to earn its keep from the first opener on.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Savage 110 Trailblazer come with sights or a scope?
No iron sights or scope are included on this model. It does come with a one-piece 0 MOA Picatinny rail on the receiver, so mounting the optic of your choice is quick and straightforward. If you want a package rifle with glass already installed, Savage offers the Trailblazer XP variant with a Vortex Crossfire II scope.
Is the 110 Trailblazer suppressor ready?
Yes. The 22 inch carbon steel barrel comes threaded at the muzzle from the factory, so you can attach a suppressor or muzzle brake without any gunsmithing. Given the recoil of the .300 Win Mag, a brake or can is a popular addition on this rifle.
How adjustable is the trigger on the Savage 110 Trailblazer?
The Trailblazer uses Savage's well-known AccuTrigger, which the owner can adjust from about 2.5 to 6 pounds of pull weight. It breaks clean and crisp out of the box, and adjusting it takes just a few minutes with the included instructions. It is one of the best factory triggers you will find at this price point.
Can the stock be adjusted to fit different shooters?
Yes, the Flat Dark Gray 110 Trophy stock features user-adjustable length of pull, roughly 12.75 to 13.75 inches, so it fits a wide range of body types and layering setups. It also wears a LimbSaver recoil pad that takes real sting out of the .300 Win Mag, which makes practice sessions a lot more pleasant.
