Description

Savage built the 110 Pro Pursuit with input from professional hunter Mike Robinson, and it shows in the details. This is a rifle designed for people who put real miles on their boots, not one that just looks good in the safe. Chambered in 7mm PRC, it gives you flat-shooting magnum performance in a package that carries comfortably all day, and the 20 inch barrel keeps it handy in a blind, on a truck rack, or with a suppressor hanging off the end.

What Sets the 110 Pro Pursuit Apart

The barrel is the headliner here. Proof Research carbon fiber wrapped stainless steel means you get match-grade accuracy at a fraction of the weight of a comparable steel tube, and it sheds heat well when you need follow-up shots. The muzzle comes threaded 5/8×24 with an Omniport brake installed, so you can run it as-is to tame the 7mm PRC or spin on a can. The stainless receiver wears Magpul OD Green Cerakote for corrosion resistance, and the fluted bolt body gets its own Cerakote treatment for smooth cycling. Savage also upgraded the bolt head with dual ejectors and an enhanced extractor, which matters when it is cold, wet, and you only get one chance.

A Grayboe Stock That Earns Its Keep

The Grayboe Phoenix 2 stock in earth-tone camo with black web is stiff, stable, and comfortable behind a magnum cartridge. You get an M-LOK rail on the forend for a bipod, flush QD cups for a sling, and a knurled bolt knob that works fine with gloves on. Feeding comes from a detachable 3-round AICS-style magazine, giving you 3+1 capacity.

Setting Up Your Pro Pursuit

A 20 MOA one-piece rail comes installed from the factory, so mounting glass is quick and you have plenty of elevation for stretching the 7mm PRC out to its potential. Pair it with the user-adjustable AccuTrigger and this rifle is ready to earn a permanent spot in your hunting rotation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Savage 110 Pro Pursuit suppressor ready?

Yes. The 20 inch Proof Research barrel is threaded 5/8×24 and ships with an Omniport muzzle brake installed. Remove the brake and you can thread on most common suppressors, which is a big reason the shorter barrel length makes sense on this rifle.

Does a 20 inch barrel give up much velocity in 7mm PRC?

You will lose some speed compared to a 24 inch tube, typically in the neighborhood of 25 to 35 fps per inch, but the 7mm PRC has enough case capacity that it remains a legitimate long-range hunting cartridge from a 20 inch barrel. In exchange you get a rifle that is noticeably easier to maneuver and much better balanced with a suppressor attached.

Can I adjust the trigger on the 110 Pro Pursuit?

Yes. It comes with Savage's AccuTrigger, which is user adjustable without a trip to a gunsmith. It breaks clean from the factory and you can tune the pull weight down for precision work or keep it a bit heavier for cold-weather hunting with gloves.

What magazines does the Savage 110 Pro Pursuit use?

It feeds from AICS-pattern detachable box magazines and includes one 3-round magazine in the box. The AICS footprint is one of the most common in the industry, so finding spares or higher-capacity options from aftermarket makers is straightforward.
