Savage built the 110 Pro Pursuit (PPR) for hunters who want precision rifle features without lugging a precision rifle's weight up a mountain. This .300 Win Mag version pairs the proven 110 action with a 20 inch Proof Research carbon fiber wrapped stainless barrel, which is where a lot of the magic happens. You get the stiffness and heat management of a heavier contour barrel while keeping the whole rifle around 7.4 pounds. The shorter tube also handles better in timber and pairs naturally with a suppressor thanks to the 5/8×24 threaded muzzle.
The stainless receiver wears Magpul OD Green Cerakote for corrosion resistance, and the fluted bolt body gets a Blackout Cerakote treatment that smooths cycling and sheds grime. Savage also upgraded the bolt head with dual extractors, a nice touch of insurance when you need a follow-up shot in cold, wet, or dusty conditions. The knurled bolt knob gives you real purchase with gloves on, and the AccuTrigger adjusts from 1.5 to 4 pounds so you can dial the pull to exactly what you like. Feeding comes from a flush-fitting 3-round AICS-style detachable magazine, so spares are easy to find.
The Grayboe Phoenix 2 stock is finished in earth-tone camo with black webbing, and it adjusts for both comb height and length of pull. That matters more than people give it credit for, especially once you mount a larger scope over that 20 MOA one-piece Picatinny rail. Getting a proper cheek weld behind a .300 Win Mag makes the rifle noticeably more pleasant and repeatable to shoot. Flush QD cups and M-LOK slots on the forend handle slings, bipods, and whatever else your hunt calls for.

Yes. The Proof Research barrel comes threaded 5/8×24 at the muzzle, which is the standard pattern for most .30 caliber suppressors and muzzle brakes. The 20 inch barrel length also keeps the overall package manageable once a can is attached, which is a big part of why Savage went shorter on this model.
You will give up some velocity compared to a 24 or 26 inch tube, typically in the neighborhood of 25 to 35 fps per inch depending on the load. For most hunting distances the tradeoff is well worth it, since the shorter carbon fiber barrel makes the rifle lighter, stiffer, and far easier to carry or run suppressed. The .300 Win Mag still has plenty of reach for elk and other big game from a 20 inch barrel.
Yes. It uses Savage's AccuTrigger, which is user adjustable from 1.5 to 4 pounds without a trip to a gunsmith. It also has an integrated safety blade that helps prevent the rifle from firing unless the trigger is pulled deliberately, so you can run a light pull with confidence.
It feeds from AICS-pattern detachable box magazines and ships with one flush-fitting 3-round mag. Since AICS is one of the most common magazine patterns out there, finding spare or higher capacity magazines in the correct magnum length is straightforward.
