Description

Savage built the 110 Pro Pursuit with input from Mike Robinson of Farming the Wild, and it shows in the details. This is a hunting rifle designed by someone who spends serious time in the field, chambered in .30-06 Springfield, a cartridge that has been dropping elk, deer, and black bear for well over a century and still does the job as well as anything. The heart of the rifle is the proven 110 action in stainless steel, coated in Magpul OD Green Cerakote to shrug off rain and rough weather.

What the Pro Pursuit Barrel Brings to the Field

The 20" Proof Research carbon fiber wrapped stainless barrel is the headline here. You get the stiffness of a heavier contour barrel with a fraction of the weight, which matters a lot on the third day of packing into steep country. The muzzle is threaded 5/8×24 and ships with an OmniPort muzzle brake installed, so you can run the brake, spin on a suppressor, or go with a thread protector as you see fit. A 1:10 twist stabilizes the full range of .30-06 bullet weights, and the whole rifle comes in around 7.4 pounds bare.

A 110 Pro Pursuit That Adjusts to Fit You

The Grayboe Phoenix 2 stock wears an earth-tone woodland camo finish with black webbing, and both the comb height and length of pull adjust so you can get proper eye alignment behind a scope whether you're prone, on sticks, or shooting off a pack. There's an M-Lok rail under the forend for a bipod and built-in QD cups for sling swivels. The bolt got attention too: a fluted body with Blackout Cerakote for smoother cycling, an upgraded bolt head with dual ejectors and an enhanced extractor, and a threaded bolt handle you can swap or remove for cleaning.

Feeding comes from a one-piece AICS-pattern magazine frame with a 3-round mag included, and the user-adjustable AccuTrigger lets you dial the pull weight to your liking without a trip to a gunsmith. Up top, a factory-installed one-piece 20 MOA rail means you're ready to mount glass the day it comes home.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Savage 110 Pro Pursuit barrel suppressor ready?

Yes. The 20" Proof Research carbon fiber barrel is threaded 5/8×24, which is the standard pattern for most .30 caliber suppressors and muzzle devices. It ships with an OmniPort muzzle brake installed, so you can run the brake or swap on a can whenever you're ready.

What magazines does the 110 Pro Pursuit use?

It feeds from AICS-pattern detachable box magazines through a one-piece magazine frame and trigger guard. A 3-round mag comes in the box, and since AICS is one of the most common magazine footprints out there, finding spares or higher capacity options is easy.

How adjustable is the stock on this rifle?

The Grayboe Phoenix 2 stock lets you adjust both comb height and length of pull, so you can set your cheek weld for proper eye alignment behind your scope and tailor the fit to your build and shooting position. It also has an M-Lok rail on the forend for a bipod and built-in QD cups for sling attachment.

Is a 20 inch barrel enough for .30-06 hunting loads?

For most real-world hunting distances, absolutely. You give up a modest amount of velocity compared to a 22" or 24" tube, but the .30-06 still carries plenty of energy for deer, elk, and bear at typical ranges. The shorter barrel also makes the rifle noticeably handier in a blind, in timber, or with a suppressor attached.
