This version wears a 20 inch carbon fiber wrapped barrel chambered in 7mm PRC, a cartridge that has earned its following fast by pushing high BC bullets at speeds that stay flat and hit hard way out past where most of us should be shooting at game.
Savage gave this rifle the full Trophy series treatment. The flat dark gray synthetic stock adjusts for length of pull with a quick dial, so it fits you whether you're layered up in November or shooting in a t-shirt at the range. A LimbSaver recoil pad takes real sting out of the 7mm PRC, and the Cerakote finished barreled action shrugs off wet weather and pack straps. The bolt body is jeweled and runs smooth, and the whole thing feeds from a detachable box magazine you can top off in seconds with cold hands.
The receiver comes topped with a one-piece 0 MOA rail from the factory, so mounting a scope takes minutes instead of an afternoon.
