No, the standard Axis XP uses Savage's traditional non-adjustable trigger. If you want the user-adjustable AccuTrigger, that's the main upgrade on the Axis II XP. Plenty of folks shoot the standard trigger just fine, and it tends to smooth out with use.
The 6.5 Creedmoor is a great fit for whitetail, mule deer, antelope, and hogs, and with good bullet selection and shot placement it handles black bear too. Its flat trajectory and mild recoil make it easy to shoot well at longer ranges, and the 1:8 twist barrel stabilizes the high-BC bullets the cartridge is known for.
