The SAR9 Gen3 Sub-Compact is the most concealable pistol in SAR Arms' Gen3 lineup, and it does not cut corners to get there. Built on a reinforced polymer frame with a forged steel slide and 3.3-inch barrel, this striker-fired 9mm is purpose-built for everyday carry. The Gen3 update brought meaningful changes over its predecessor: a redesigned trigger guard, an updated Picatinny accessory rail that plays nicely with common weapon lights and lasers, and a flat-face trigger with a clean 90-degree break and short reset. The slide features front and rear cocking serrations plus additional side serrations that give both your palm and your thumb real purchase when running the slide under stress.
The frame is a reinforced polymer composite that feels rigid and confidence-inspiring, not the soft or flexible feel you get from some budget pistols. Textured grip panels are molded directly into the frame, and the finger grooves work in your favor whether or not they line up perfectly with your hand size. The high-rise tang and lifted rear trigger guard let you get your hand high on the grip for solid recoil control, which matters on a pistol this compact. The trigger safety tab is a red composite insert that blocks movement until your finger properly engages it. This model relies on passive safeties rather than a manual thumb safety. You get a trigger blade safety, a firing pin block, and a drop safety built in. The full-size SAR9 Gen3 does offer an optional ambidextrous manual thumb safety, but the subcompact version is set up as a safety-trigger-only platform similar to how most modern carry pistols are configured.
The biggest differences are size and barrel length. The Sub-Compact runs a 3.3-inch barrel and a slimmer, shorter frame compared to the full-size's 4.4-inch barrel. The Sub-Compact also omits the interchangeable grip panels found on the larger models, making it physically slimmer overall. Both share the same core Gen3 upgrades including the RMSc optic cut, flat-face trigger, and Picatinny rail.

The SAR9SCG3BL10 is the 10-round variant of the Gen3 Sub-Compact, specifically configured with two 10-round steel magazines. The standard version ships with 12 and 15-round magazines, so if you need the 10-round setup for any reason, this is the SKU to grab. The pistol itself is identical in every other way.
For the price, it brings a lot to the table: factory tritium night sights, an optic-ready slide, a Picatinny rail, and a flat-face trigger are features you often pay significantly more for elsewhere.
