The Samson B.A. Sling Point is a direct-replacement gas block cap that turns your Ruger Mini-14 or Mini Thirty into a slinging machine without any drilling, tapping, or gunsmithing. Instead of running your sling off the bottom of the forend, this cap gives you a clean left-side attachment point that mimics the setup on original folding-stock guns. It's machined from 4140 chromoly steel with a black oxide finish, so it'll take the heat and abuse right up near the gas system without complaint.

Fitting the Sling Point to Your Mini-14

Installation is about as easy as it gets. Pull the two factory gas block screws, drop the old cap, set the B.A. Sling Point in its place, and torque everything back down. That's the whole job. The integrated sling loop is oriented on the left side and plays nice with factory and aftermarket stocks along with heat shields, so you're not fighting your existing setup to make it work.

Sling Hardware That Works with the B.A. Sling Point

The loop accepts conventional sling swivels right out of the gate, and it's built to work with standard sling attachment options across the accessory market. If you want to run push-button quick-detach swivels, Samson's Swivel Stud QD Adapter threads onto the point and lets you clip QD hardware in and out on the fly. Keep in mind that adapter is sold separately, so grab one if the QD route is your plan.

Fitment You'll Want to Double Check

This particular version is built for 2007-and-earlier Mini-14 rifles with the factory straight pencil .562 inch diameter barrel, generally carrying serial number prefixes 181 through 199. Older Mini Thirty guns fall in the same fitment window. It measures 1.25 inches long, 1.75 inches wide, half an inch tall, and tips the scale at just 1.3 ounces, so you're adding a useful feature without weighing down the front of the rifle. Check your barrel diameter and serial prefix before ordering to make sure you're pulling the right variant.
