The Samson B.A. Sling Point is one of those upgrades that makes you wonder why Ruger didn't build it in from the start. It's a machined gas block cap that replaces the plain factory cap on your Mini-14 or Mini Thirty and adds an integrated sling attachment point along the way. No permanent modifications, no drilling into the barrel, no trip to the gunsmith. You pull the factory gas block screws, drop the new cap in place, and reassemble. That's the whole job.
This particular version is the stainless steel model built for 2008-and-later rifles running the factory flanged .625-inch diameter barrel, which covers Mini-14 guns with a serial number prefix of 580 or higher, plus Mini Thirty rifles with either the older straight pencil or newer flanged .625-inch barrel. The stainless finish gives it a bright, natural look that pairs nicely with stainless Ranch Rifle and Mini Thirty models, and it holds up well against weather and range abuse.
The integrated sling loop sits on the left side of the cap, giving you a natural carry angle for both patrol-style slings and traditional two-point setups. It's cut to accept standard QD swivels right out of the gate, and if you'd rather run a push-button swivel stud, Samson offers an optional Swivel Stud QD Adapter (sold separately). The loop is designed to play nice with all factory and aftermarket stocks and heat shields, so it won't fight the rest of your build.

Not at all. Installation is about as simple as it gets: you remove the factory gas block screws, set the new sling point cap in place, and reassemble with the same hardware. Most people knock it out at the bench in a few minutes with basic tools.
The integrated loop is cut to take standard QD sling swivels right out of the box, including Samson's own QD swivels. If you prefer a push-button style swivel stud, Samson makes an optional Swivel Stud QD Adapter, though that adapter is sold separately and not included with the cap.
Yes. Samson designed the B.A. Sling Point to work alongside factory and aftermarket stocks as well as heat shields, so it won't interfere with the rest of your setup. The attachment loop is oriented on the left side for a natural carry angle.
