Plenty of 9mm suppressors are pistol cans doing double duty on a carbine. The Rugged Sub9 is not one of them. Rugged designed this one from the ground up for PCCs, subguns, and MP5-style hosts, and it shows in how the can is built. The coaxial chamber layout squeezes impressive sound reduction out of a compact package while keeping gas blowback low, so you are not eating a face full of carbon every time you run a fast string. At 6.6 inches bare and 6.8 inches with the mount installed, it keeps a braced pistol or carbine short and handy instead of turning it into a broomstick.
The baffles and tube are machined from 17-4 stainless steel and coated in high-temp Cerakote, and the whole can carries a full-auto and belt-fed rating. That means binary triggers, forced-reset triggers, and long mag dumps are all fair game. Rugged also engraves the serial number over the thickest stainless cross section of the suppressor, which makes repairs straightforward if the can ever takes damage. And if anything does go wrong, the Unconditional Lifetime Warranty covers it, no matter the cause or how many times you need it.
Out of the box you get the Rugged Universal 3-Lug Mount, machined from Grade 5 titanium. Instead of the usual spring-style lockup, the RU3 uses a taper lock for a tighter, more concentric fit, and it plays nice with standard HK-spec 3-lug barrels and adapters. Since the rear of the can is threaded 1.375×24 HUB, you can also swap to direct-thread or other universal mounting systems whenever your host setup changes.
While 9mm is the sweet spot, the Sub9 also handles subsonic .300 Blackout, .350 Legend, .357 Magnum, and .38 Special, covering straight-wall cartridges up to .360 diameter. For a dedicated PCC or subgun can that will outlast the gun it is mounted on, this one is tough to beat.
Yes. The included RU3 mount is designed around HK-spec 9mm 3-lug barrels, so it locks onto MP5-style guns and aftermarket 3-lug adapters. Unlike traditional spring-style 3-lug mounts, the RU3 uses a taper lock for a tighter, more repeatable lockup.

Yes. The rear of the can is threaded 1.375×24, the industry-standard HUB pattern, so it accepts direct-thread adapters and quick-detach mounts from Rugged and other manufacturers. That gives you plenty of flexibility if you want to move it between different host guns.
While it is tuned for 9mm PCCs and subguns, the Sub9 is also rated for subsonic .300 Blackout, .350 Legend, .357 Magnum, and .38 Special. Any straight-wall cartridge with a bullet diameter up to .360 is covered, which makes it a handy option for lever guns too.
