Description
The RXM came out of a collaboration between Ruger and Magpul, and this threaded barrel version in Stealth Gray might be the most useful configuration in the lineup. At its core is a removable serialized stainless steel Fire Control Insert, meaning the chassis is the firearm and the Magpul Enhanced Handgun Grip around it can be swapped whenever Magpul releases new frame options. It runs on a familiar Gen3-style pattern too, so a huge chunk of off-the-shelf holsters, magazines, and aftermarket parts drop right in.
Suppressor Ready Out of the Box
The 4.5 inch alloy steel barrel wears a black FNC nitride finish and a 1/2"-28 threaded muzzle with a factory thread protector, ready for a suppressor or compensator the day you bring it home. Ruger even tosses in a heavier 18 pound guide rod and recoil spring assembly so you can tune the pistol to run reliably with your can and preferred ammo. That is a thoughtful touch most manufacturers make you buy separately. Sights are co-witness height steel with a tritium front, tall enough to see over a mounted suppressor or through a red dot window, and the slide is cut for direct mounting of RMR, DeltaPoint Pro, and RMSc pattern optics with no adapter plates needed.
The Magpul EHG Grip Earns Its Keep
The Stealth Gray EHG frame uses Magpul's 3/4-scale TSP texture, which locks into your hand without chewing up clothing or skin. An undercut trigger guard and beavertail let you choke up high, the flared magwell speeds reloads, and the extended mag catch and raised slide stop make the controls easy to reach. The flat-faced trigger breaks clean with a short, tactile reset.
What You Get with the RXM Threaded
Ruger includes two Magpul PMAG 15 GL9 magazines, the spare 18 pound recoil assembly, and a co-branded hard case. At 23.6 ounces with a 15+1 capacity, it is light enough to carry and full enough in the hand to shoot all day. Built at Ruger's Prescott, Arizona facility, it is an American-made pistol with real modularity baked in from the start.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will the Ruger RXM work with Glock holsters and magazines?
For the most part, yes. The RXM was built around Gen3-style dimensions, so most major components, holsters, and magazines made for that pattern work with it. The two included mags are Magpul PMAG 15 GL9s, which are the same magazines many folks already run. Just note Glock does not officially endorse or guarantee this compatibility.
What red dots fit the RXM's optic cut?
The slide is machined for direct mounting of RMR, DeltaPoint Pro, and RMSc footprint optics with no adapter plates required. That covers a wide range of popular dots from Trijicon, Leupold, Holosun, and others. The co-witness height steel sights are tall enough to see through most optic windows too, so you keep a backup sight picture.
Is the RXM threaded barrel version ready to run a suppressor?
It is about as ready as a factory pistol gets. The 1/2"-28 threads accept most 9mm suppressors and muzzle devices, and Ruger includes a heavier 18 lb guide rod and recoil spring assembly in the box so you can tune the gun to cycle reliably with your can and ammo. The tall tritium front sight also helps you aim over a mounted suppressor.
What makes the RXM different from other striker-fired 9mm pistols?
The serialized part is a removable stainless steel Fire Control Insert rather than the frame itself. That means you can swap the Magpul EHG grip frame for other sizes and colors as they become available without buying a whole new gun. It is a level of modularity most pistols in this class do not offer.
