The EGW Ruger 10/22 20 MOA Silver mount replaces your factory tip-off base with a full-length Picatinny rail built to match the 10/22 receiver exactly. It drops right onto the factory scope mount holes, so there's no drilling or tapping involved. The 20 MOA of forward cant gives you extra elevation adjustment in your scope, which comes in handy when you want to reach out past typical plinking range or dial for drop at distance with .22 LR.
EGW machines this rail from domestic 6061 T6 extruded aluminum and finishes it in a matte silver Type II anodizing that pairs nicely with stainless and silver-receiver 10/22 builds. It measures 6.276 inches long with a 2.57 inch center spread, weighs right around 2 ounces, and sits about 0.4 inches from the top of the receiver to the top of the rail. In many setups it leaves enough clearance that you can still use the factory iron sights, and a center channel is milled out to trim weight without giving up rigidity.
Rimfire rounds drop fast, so the 20 MOA of built-in slope lets your scope keep more usable elevation in the tank for longer shots. If you're running a standard plinking setup, a 0 MOA base works fine, but the 20 MOA version is the one to grab when you plan on stretching things out or shooting steel at distance.
The mount ships with #6-48 x 1/4 inch screws and a T-10 bit, so you have what you need to get started. EGW recommends torquing the screws to 20 inch-pounds with a drip of blue thread locker for a setup that stays put under repeated use. The full-length Picatinny slots work with any standard Picatinny or Weaver rings, giving you plenty of freedom to position rings for proper eye relief.
One thing worth knowing: this is the standard 10/22 mount and it will not fit the 10/22 Takedown, which uses a different base. The rail is ambidextrous and made entirely in the USA, from the hardware down to the packaging.
No, this mount is made for the standard Ruger 10/22 and will not fit the 10/22 Takedown model. The Takedown uses a different base designed for its split receiver. If you have a Takedown, you'll want EGW's dedicated Takedown rail instead.
The 20 MOA of forward slope gives your scope more usable elevation adjustment for longer-range shooting. Since .22 LR drops quickly past plinking distances, that extra elevation helps you dial up without running out of travel in your turret. For close-range plinking a 0 MOA base is plenty, but 20 MOA is the pick if you want to reach out.
