The RS Regulate AK-306M is the lower half of the AK-300 Modular Side Mount System, clamping directly onto your rifle's existing left-side rail with no permanent changes to the gun. It is a front-biased design, meaning it positions your optic as far forward as possible, which is great for keeping a wide field of view and a clean sight picture.
What sets these apart is the engineering. The lower uses a low-profile titanium-based locking system that does not stick out from the side of the mount or crowd your trigger guard area. It sits low enough that most red dots will give you a lower 1/3 co-witness with your iron sights, and in a lot of setups you can still pull the dust cover for cleaning without yanking the mount off. Built from 6061-T6 aluminum and hard anodized, it is light, thin, and tough enough to take a beating without shifting zero.
Keep in mind this is the lower only, so no upper is included. Think of the AK-306M as your foundation. You pick the RS Regulate upper that matches your optic, whether that is an Aimpoint Micro, a full-size red dot, an ACOG, or a magnified scope, and it locks onto the lower through RS Regulate's proprietary interface. The whole system lets you dial in both the over-bore position and eye relief so your glass sits exactly where you want it.
This lower is made for Yugo M21 and PAP pattern side rails, and it covers the whole family of Zastava-built guns including OPAP, NPAP, and M21 rifles. The updated version ships with a user-replaceable steel recoil lug shaped for the unique Zastava rail, which helps it lock in tight and repeat zero every time you reattach it. Detaching and remounting takes seconds, and your point of impact comes right back where you left it.
