The K9 barrel is made from 416R stainless with a continuous taper profile that efficiently sheds heat during hard use. This taper also shifts weight toward the rear, which means better balance when you've got modern accessories mounted forward. The 1:7 twist handles military-spec ammo and heavier projectiles well, and the optimized gas port is tuned to run clean whether you're suppressed or running it unsuppressed. An 11-degree target crown borrowed from Rosco's Purebred series improves harmonics and fit.
