The Rock River Arms LAR-15M Assurance-UTE gets its name from the Universal Tactical Entry upper receiver, which has an adjustable rear sight built right into it. Under the hood, this is classic Rock River quality. The 16-inch chrome moly vanadium barrel wears a lightweight profile with a 1:8 twist, which stabilizes everything from 55 grain plinking loads up to heavier 69 and 77 grain match bullets. A carbine-length gas system with an A2 gas block keeps the action running smoothly, and the threaded muzzle comes capped with an A2 flash hider. The receivers are forged aluminum, and the whole package comes in right around 7 pounds, so it carries well whether you're working drills or just hauling gear to the bench.
The two-stage match trigger is where this carbine really separates itself from budget builds. You get a light, predictable take-up followed by a crisp break, which makes accurate shooting a whole lot easier.
