The Rob Roberts T3 Triple Threat is the long-range member of the Triple Threat family, and it's the tube you reach for when the target is at the far edge of your range. Rob Roberts skips the traditional Full and Modified labels for a reason. The T3 lands in improved-modified territory, and the whole idea behind it is pattern quality over raw percentage. Rather than a dense clump that either misses or turns a bird to feathers, the goal is an even spread across the core of a 30-inch circle so you get multiple hits wherever that pattern lands. That thinking, along with the longer-than-average tube body, is what helps it perform at distance.
Roberts generally points folks toward the T3 for shotguns with larger bore diameters, like Browning and Winchester barrels that run around .742, while smaller Italian bores tend to pair better with the more open T2. Since this version is cut for the Browning Invector-DS system, it's a natural match. Just confirm your barrel is stamped Invector-DS before ordering, since DS tubes are longer, thread at the muzzle, and won't swap with Invector-Plus or Standard Invector barrels.
Every Triple Threat tube is machined from 17-4 PH U.S. stainless steel to tolerances well beyond the industry standard. This tube is cut for the Browning Invector-DS system, so it fits Browning shotguns with Invector-DS stamped on the barrel, such as many Citori 725, 825, and A5 models. Invector-DS tubes are longer and thread at the muzzle end, and they will not interchange with Invector-Plus or Standard Invector barrels. Always check the marking on your barrel before ordering.
