Yes, this 12 gauge is chambered for 3 inch shells, so magnum field loads are on the table. The nickel chrome steel barrels are built to handle modern non-toxic loads, though as with any shotgun you should stick to more open chokes when running steel. For most upland work, standard 2 3/4 inch loads will be the sweet spot for comfort and patterns.
