Description

The Rix Optics MK-R3000 rolls three tools into one housing: a comfortable 8×32 binocular, a long-range laser rangefinder, and a full ballistic solver. Instead of glassing with one device and reaching for a separate rangefinder, you spot, range, and get your aiming solution all through the same eyepieces. For anyone chasing game across canyons or stretching out at the range, that means less gear on your neck and faster follow-through when the moment counts.

What the MK-R3000 Brings to the Glass

The optical side runs on fully multicoated, extra-low dispersion ED glass with light transmission above 87 percent, so images come through bright with tight color and minimal fringing on the edges. You get a wide 7-degree field of view (about 123 meters at 1000 meters), which makes sweeping a hillside for movement a lot easier. Eye relief sits at a generous 17mm with twist-up eyecups, so glasses wearers get the full picture too, and both eyepieces carry dioptric adjustment for dialing in your own eyes.

Ranging and Ballistics on the MK-R3000

The 905nm laser reaches out to 3000 meters (roughly 3280 yards) and holds accuracy of about one meter plus 0.1 percent of the distance past 300 meters. Three modes cover the work: Single-Point Ranging for a clean line-of-sight number, Continuous Ranging for tracking moving targets, and Ballistics Application Mode when you want a full firing solution. Onboard sensors read temperature, pressure, humidity, and angle, and the MK-R3000 stores up to 10 custom ballistic profiles. Bluetooth 5.3 pairs it with the RIX Tactical app for building profiles, and it links with a Kestrel wind meter to fold wind into the equation.

Built for the Field

Everything shows up on a 304 x 256 red AMOLED display that auto-adjusts brightness to whatever light you're working in. The whole package weighs around 780 grams without the battery and stays compact enough to ride comfortably on a chest harness or tuck into a pack. An intuitive six-button layout keeps the controls under your fingers, and IP67 sealing means rain, dust, and fog won't stop the day.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far will the Rix MK-R3000 range?

The MK-R3000 uses a 905nm laser that reaches out to 3000 meters, which is roughly 3280 yards. Past 300 meters it holds an accuracy of about one meter plus 0.1 percent of the measured distance. Real-world reach depends on target size, reflectivity, and conditions, but it has plenty of headroom for most hunting and long-range work.

Does the MK-R3000 give an actual ballistic solution or just distance?

It does both. In Single-Point and Continuous modes you get straight distance, and in Ballistics Application Mode the onboard solver factors in range, angle, and readings from the temperature, pressure, and humidity sensors to put an aiming solution right in your view. You can store up to 10 custom profiles and build them out through the RIX Tactical app.

Can the Rix MK-R3000 pair with a Kestrel for wind data?

Yes. It runs Bluetooth 5.3 and connects to a Kestrel wind meter so wind gets pulled into the ballistic calculation. The same Bluetooth link connects to the RIX Tactical app for building and tweaking your ballistic profiles.

Is the MK-R3000 good for glasses wearers?

It's a solid fit. The 17mm eye relief paired with twist-up rubber eyecups gives eyeglass users the full field of view without vignetting. Both eyepieces also have dioptric adjustment, so you can fine-tune focus to each eye whether you wear glasses or not.
