Most factory barrels are designed to be good enough. This one's designed to be better. The Essential V2 gets a target-crowned muzzle to help with accuracy, 6-groove rifling with a 1:10 twist rate, and a low-temperature PVD coating that creates a solid barrier against wear. The bore gets treated with BORSLICK Boron Nitride DCD, which resists heat and carbon buildup so you're not fighting a dirty barrel after a few hundred rounds. Add that up and you're getting barrel performance that typically requires expensive gunsmithing.
