The RAK47-P-SF is their polymer-furniture take on the 100 series pattern, chambered in 7.62×39 with a 16.25 inch 4150 steel barrel treated with nitride for wear and corrosion resistance. The heart of the rifle is a fully heat-treated mil-spec stamped receiver mated to a forged trunnion, forged bolt, and forged carrier. Those forged parts matter on an AK, since that is where the real stress lives, and it is a big reason these rifles have earned a solid reputation for running round after round without complaint.
The triangular metal side folder is the star of the show here. It locks up tight in both positions, no wobble, and folding it down makes the rifle noticeably easier to stash in a truck, case, or safe.
