Underneath the traditional styling is a rifle built in the USA around a fully heat-treated, mil-spec stamped receiver, so you get that familiar AKM feel with modern quality control behind it.

Built the Way an AK Should Be

Riley Defense didn't cut corners where it counts. The trunnion, bolt, and carrier are all forged, which is the kind of detail AK folks look for first when sizing up a stamped-receiver rifle. The 16.25 inch chromoly barrel gets a 4150 nitride treatment for wear and corrosion resistance, and it's threaded 14×1 LH under the muzzle. You also get the small touches that make an AK pleasant to live with, like an extended magazine release, a bolt hold open notch on the safety lever, a bayonet lug, and a cleaning rod riding under the barrel just like the originals.

Sights, Optics, and Everyday Handling

The adjustable front and rear sights handle business the traditional way, and when you're ready to mount a red dot or scope, the machined side rail on the receiver accepts standard AK optic mounts without any gunsmithing. At 35.25 inches overall and around 7.5 pounds, the RAK101CA carries and swings like a proper AKM should.
