The heart of this pistol is a 4-inch barrel made from chrome-finished AISI 4140 low-alloy steel that Retay precision drills. This particular model (RXP22-BLK-13) wears a standard, non-threaded barrel in an all-black finish. Underneath, a 7075 aluminum alloy slide and internal chassis sit inside a textured polymer grip frame, so you get durable internals and a secure hold without a lot of extra weight.
Out of the box you get a Glock-compatible TruGlo fiber optic front sight paired with an adjustable target-style rear, which makes dialing in your point of impact quick and easy. The slide is drilled and tapped to accept RMR and RMSc footprint red dots, and Retay includes a universal mounting plate for optics that fall outside those two patterns. Front and rear slide serrations give you plenty of grip for racking and press checks, and the integrated Picatinny rail on the dustcover lets you add a light or laser.
