At the heart of this shotgun is Retay's Inertia Plus system, a rotating bolt that locks up tight every time with no bolt rattle. The revamped bolt design reduces cycling friction and does a solid job of running everything from light one-ounce target loads to heavy waterfowl payloads. A stainless steel recoil buffer spring adds corrosion resistance for those nasty, wet days in the blind. If you ever need to clean or service it, the push-button removable trigger group drops out in seconds, which is a genuinely handy touch most guns at this level don't offer.
The ACE-R leads with the new AIRY recoil pad, a next-generation pad designed to soak up kick and reduce felt recoil by up to 30 percent. Paired with a soft comb pad, it keeps long range sessions and heavy 3.5 inch loads comfortable. The 14.5 inch length of pull comes with a shim kit so you can dial in cast and drop to fit your build.
