The Inertia Plus action uses a bolt rollover torsion spring that keeps the rotating bolt locked into battery even if the gun gets bumped in the blind, which fixes one of the classic gripes with traditional inertia designs. And because there are no gas ports or pistons collecting carbon, cleanup after a muddy morning is quick.
The 28" barrel is deep bore drilled and wears a vent rib topped with a TruGlo fiber optic front bead that stays visible in gray, early morning light. At 7 pounds 4 ounces with a 50" overall length, the ACE swings smoothly on crossing birds but is not a chore to carry when you are chasing roosters instead of sitting over decoys. Full Realtree Max-7 camo covers the synthetic stock and metalwork, keeping you hidden in cattails, flooded timber, or cut cornfields.
Retay put real thought into the details here. The oversized safety button is reversible for left-handed use, the trigger group pops out with a push button for easy cleaning, and an included shim kit lets you adjust the stock so the gun points where you look. The Airy Pad recoil pad takes noticeable sting out of heavy loads, which matters on a high-volume day. A set of MaraPro choke tubes covers patterns from wide open to tight, and the receiver comes drilled and tapped if you ever want to mount an optic for turkey duty. Retay backs the whole package with a limited lifetime warranty, which says a lot about how much confidence they have in this gun.
The ACE has a 3-1/2" chamber and the Inertia Plus action is designed to run everything from light 2-3/4" loads up to 3-1/2" magnums. As with most inertia guns, very light target loads may need a break-in period of a couple boxes of heavier ammo before the action fully smooths out. After that, it is happy with just about any factory load.

Yes, the receiver comes drilled and tapped from the factory, so you can add a rail and mount a red dot for turkey hunting or slug work. For everyday wing shooting, the fiber optic bead on the vent rib handles things just fine.
The layout is ambidextrous friendly. The oversized safety button is reversible, so a lefty can swap it to the correct side, and the included shim kit lets you adjust cast and drop to fit your build. It is one of the easier semi-autos to set up for a left-handed shooter without buying a dedicated left-hand model.
