It works with standard AR-15 carbine buffer systems out of the box, and thanks to a removable collar it can also run VLTOR A5 and SR-25 length buffers by changing the extension and the forward portion of the stock. Yes. The RECC-E ships with Reptilia's own proprietary carbine-length receiver extension made from Type III anodized 7075-T6 aluminum, along with all the mounting hardware you need. You'll remove your existing buffer tube assembly and install the one that comes in the box. That included tube is part of why the total assembled weight lands at 12 ounces.
