Description

Reptilia set out to build a stock that could ride on anything from a stubby carbine to a precision rig without weighing your rifle down, and the RECC-E is the result of that effort. The whole assembly tips the scale at just 12 ounces including its proprietary 7075-T6 aluminum receiver extension, which is roughly half the heft of some of the fixed-position stocks it competes against. That kind of weight savings adds up fast when you're carrying a rifle all day or trying to keep a build nimble.

What Sets the RECC-E Apart

The standout feature here is the constant cheek weld. No matter which of the five length-of-pull positions you dial in between 10.8 and 14.2 inches, your face lands in the same spot on the comb every time, so your eye stays lined up behind the optic. Reptilia developed this at the request of a military end user, and the design shows a lot of thought toward getting consistent, repeatable contact behind glass. The rubber buttpad keeps it planted on your shoulder, and the rear QD sling cup can be moved to either side to suit lefties and righties alike.

Getting the RECC-E on Your Rifle

Since the stock ships with its own receiver extension and all the mounting hardware, installation means pulling your existing buffer tube assembly and swapping in the RECC-E tube. It works with standard AR-15 carbine buffer systems out of the box, and thanks to a removable collar it can also run VLTOR A5 and SR-25 length buffers by changing the extension and the forward portion of the stock. That modularity is what lets one stock design cover such a wide range of AR-pattern guns.

Built from impact-modified glass-filled nylon polymer with nitrided steel hardware, and made in the USA, the RECC-E is a smart pick for anyone chasing a lighter setup without giving up a solid cheek weld and clean sling options.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the RECC-E stock come with a buffer tube?

Yes. The RECC-E ships with Reptilia's own proprietary carbine-length receiver extension made from Type III anodized 7075-T6 aluminum, along with all the mounting hardware you need. You'll remove your existing buffer tube assembly and install the one that comes in the box. That included tube is part of why the total assembled weight lands at 12 ounces.

Will the RECC-E fit my AR-15 and can it run an A5 or SR-25 buffer system?

It's built for AR-15, M4, M16, and SR-15 pattern rifles right out of the box with a standard carbine buffer system. Thanks to a removable collar and modular design, it can also run VLTOR A5 or SR-25 length buffers by swapping the receiver extension and forward portion of the stock. That flexibility lets one platform cover both compact builds and larger-frame setups.

How does the constant cheek weld work on the RECC-E?

The comb is designed so your cheek lands in the same spot no matter which length-of-pull position you're using across the five settings from 10.8 to 14.2 inches. This keeps your eye consistently aligned behind your optic as you adjust for gear, body armor, or shooting position. It's one of the main reasons Reptilia developed the stock with input from a military end user.

Is the RECC-E sling mount ambidextrous?

It is. The rear QD sling cup can be swapped to either side of the stock, so it works equally well for left-handed and right-handed shooters. That makes it easy to run a single-point or two-point sling on whichever side suits your setup.
