Reptilia built its name on high-end optic mounts, and that same obsession with a solid, repeatable lockup shows up in this 10.5-inch handguard. It's a compact rail meant for carbine and pistol-length AR-15 builds, giving you enough real estate for a light and a hand stop without a lot of extra length hanging past the muzzle. The whole thing is CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and wears a MIL-STD Type III hardcoat anodized finish in black, so it shrugs off holster wear, weather, and the general abuse a working rifle sees.
Instead of a typical wedge or clamp setup, Reptilia uses a proprietary barrel nut paired with a turnbuckle system. In plain terms, the turnbuckle draws the rail tight against the barrel nut for a snug, no-flex fit, while anti-rotation tabs that index off the upper receiver keep everything from twisting under load. That matters when you've got an IR laser or thermal zeroed on the rail and you need it holding point of aim shot after shot. It's also a genuinely slim design, which is a nice change if you've ever wrapped your hand around a chunky handguard and wished for something trimmer.
Full-length M-LOK slots run the length of the rail, so lights, bipods, hand stops, sling points, and pressure pads all go exactly where your hand wants them. The 10.5-inch version weighs in right around 9 ounces, so it keeps the front end light and quick to point. It's built to fit M4-pattern AR-15 upper receivers, and the internal dimension leaves room for standard profiles.
The barrel nut torques to 50 ft-lbs and the turnbuckle nut goes hand-tight with red thread locker. Reptilia makes a dedicated Barrel Nut and Turnbuckle Wrench for the job, which is sold separately and worth grabbing if you're doing the install yourself. Like the rest of the Reptilia lineup, it's made in the USA and backed by a lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects.

It works with a 1-1/4" drive for the barrel nut, a 1/4" drive for the turnbuckle, and a 3/8" socket drive for a torque wrench. If you're installing it yourself, that wrench makes the job much cleaner and repeatable.
It's designed to fit M4-pattern AR-15 upper receivers, which covers the vast majority of standard builds. Keep in mind it replaces your existing barrel nut with Reptilia's proprietary one, so plan on a full handguard swap rather than dropping it over your current setup. The 33.5mm internal dimension clears common barrel profiles.
The 10.5-inch rail is a great match for carbine and pistol-length AR-15s where you want coverage over the gas system without a lot of extra length past the muzzle. It gives you enough M-LOK real estate for a light and a hand stop while keeping the front end light and quick-handling. Reptilia also makes 9.4", 13", and 15" versions if you need something shorter or longer.
