As you mount the gun, you can snap the safety off quickly and positively without breaking your hold, which is the whole point of an oversized button.
It fits the Remington Model 870, Model 1100, and Model 1187 in both 12 and 20 gauge, and it wears a matte blued finish that blends right in with a standard blued receiver. The larger surface gives you a definite, tactile snap between safe and fire, so you always know where you stand.
With your gun on safe and your trigger finger indexed alongside the guard, the wide dome lets you push the safety off with a single motion and no fumbling.
