Remington Core-Lokt 6mm 100gr PSP 20rd Box Ammo

Description

The 6mm Remington has quietly built a reputation as one of the flattest-shooting cartridges available. This Remington Core-Lokt load taps into that ballistic advantage with a 100-grain pointed soft point bullet that's been trusted by hunters for generations. Running at 3100 fps, this ammunition delivers the trajectory and energy retention that makes the 6mm particularly effective on medium game beyond 300 yards.

What Makes Core-Lokt Work

The Core-Lokt bullet design is mechanically locking a lead core to a tapered copper jacket, which controls expansion in a very specific way. Rather than fragmenting or separating like older hunting bullets, the tapered jacket peels back gradually during penetration. This approach delivers consistent expansion that averages about twice the original bullet diameter while maintaining exceptional weight retention through the animal. The result is deeper penetration than more aggressive expanding bullets, making it forgiving across a wider range of impact velocities.

6mm Remington Ballistics and Range

With its slightly longer case than the .243 Winchester, the 6mm Remington handles the 100-grain bullet exceptionally well. At 400 yards from a 100-yard zero, this load maintains velocities well above 1000 feet per second and generates approximately 3 to 4 inches less drop compared to typical .243 loads. The flat trajectory and steady energy curve make this ammunition a legitimate option for hunters who regularly shoot beyond the standard 200-yard range.

What You Get

You're getting 20 rounds of new-production ammunition loaded in reloadable brass cases with boxer primers. The components are consistent across the box, so handloaders will appreciate the uniform brass for reloading. Whether you're stocking up for the season or working through a familiar load you've tested in your rifle, this is the kind of ammunition that backs up its track record with real-world performance.
