Remington Core-Lokt 25-20 Win 86 gr Soft Point Ammo 50 Round

Description

The Remington Core-Lokt 25-20 Winchester line carries decades of proven field performance in a cartridge that dominated American small game hunting for generations. This load pairs an 86 grain pointed soft point bullet with the time-tested Core-Lokt design, generating 1460 feet per second muzzle velocity and 407 foot-pounds of energy. It's factory loaded in reloadable brass with non-corrosive boxer primers, making it ideal whether you're feeding an original Winchester 1892, a Marlin lever gun, or a bolt action rifle chambered for this classic cartridge.

Core-Lokt Bullet Performance

The tapered copper jacket locks to a solid lead core, delivering controlled 2X expansion and excellent weight retention. This design philosophy dates back to 1939 and remains one of the most effective controlled-expansion bullets ever developed. The soft point shape creates a broad frontal area for clean, rapid expansion without excessive meat damage, which is especially valuable when hunting upland game or small predators where clean kills matter. Real-world accuracy is excellent from both lever actions and single-shot rifles, with consistent performance out to 125-150 yard ranges.

What to Expect in the Field

The 25-20 Winchester is purpose-built for small game, varmints, and predator control. This cartridge became the go-to load for farmers, trappers, and subsistence hunters because it's effective on rabbits, squirrels, foxes, and other small game while preserving meat better than larger calibers. The mild recoil and report make it pleasant to shoot, and the low-pressure design suits vintage rifles safely. Each box contains 50 rounds of factory-loaded ammunition ready to use. The brass is reloadable if you want to extend the life of this harder-to-find cartridge.
