The Radians R-3700 is an over-the-head electronic earmuff built around four independent microphones, one on the front and back of each cup. That quad-mic setup gives you true surround-sound directional awareness, so you can pinpoint where a sound is coming from instead of just hearing a wall of noise. Low-level sounds like conversation, range commands, or game moving through the brush get amplified, while the circuitry instantly compresses anything loud enough to hurt you, such as a muzzle blast. It carries an NRR of 24 dB, which puts it right in the sweet spot for most range and field work.
Bluetooth is the standout here. Pair it with your phone and you can stream music or podcasts, take a call, and keep your surroundings dialed in all at once. If you'd rather go wired, there's a 3.5mm stereo input jack and a patch cable in the box for connecting straight to a phone or audio player. An LED on/off indicator keeps you from leaving it powered up and draining the two AAA batteries between sessions, which is a small touch that saves you a dead pair of muffs on the next trip out.
Radians built the R-3700 with a padded, adjustable headband meant to sit secure without clamping down too hard over a long day. The cups fold in for compact storage, so it collapses down small enough to drop into a range bag, pack, or truck console without eating up space. The Pewter and Black color combo keeps it looking clean whether you're on the trap field or working a bench.
This one lands well for hunters who want to hear game and stay protected, target and clay shooters logging range hours, and anyone who wants situational awareness with a little music on the side. It's a versatile electronic muff that covers a lot of ground for the money.
The R-3700 carries a Noise Reduction Rating of 24 dB. That level works well for most pistol, rifle, and shotgun range sessions along with hunting. The electronic circuitry also compresses sudden loud noises like muzzle blasts to keep your hearing protected in real time.
Yes, the R-3700 features Bluetooth wireless connectivity compatible with most smartphones and smart devices. You can stream music or podcasts and take calls while still hearing your surroundings through the quad microphones. If you prefer a wired setup, there's also a 3.5mm stereo input jack with an included patch cable.
It runs on two AAA batteries, which are required for the electronic and Bluetooth functions to work. There's an LED on/off indicator light that helps prevent the muffs from being left on and draining the batteries between uses. Keeping a spare set in your range bag is never a bad idea.
The R-3700 uses four independent microphones, one on the front and back of each ear cup. This gives you a full surround-sound experience and better directional awareness, so you can tell where sounds are coming from. That's a real advantage for hearing range commands, conversation, or game moving nearby.
