The Radian Model 1 Builder Kit is purpose-built for AR-15 builders who don't want to chase parts across multiple retailers. You get the core foundation that matters most: a matched billet upper and lower receiver set that's engineered to work together from day one.
The kit starts with a billet 7075-T6 aluminum upper receiver that comes already assembled with a dust cover, lightweight forward assist, anti-rotation pin, and the Raptor-SD ambidextrous charging handle built in. The 15.5-inch handguard is machined as part of the same set, using Magpul M-LOK slots for attaching lights, grips, and other gear. Everything is finished in Radian's OD Green Cerakote, so you get a cohesive look without finishing parts yourself.
Your lower receiver is the AX556, Radian's fully ambidextrous platform. It comes with the Talon 45/90 safety selector that can be set to either quick-throw or standard angles, ambidextrous bolt catch and release, and ambidextrous magazine release. The AX556 features Radian's patented A-DAC system, which lets right-handed shooters lock the bolt back using just the magazine release button, no hand repositioning needed.
Billet receivers start as solid blocks of aluminum rather than forgings, which means tighter tolerances and less room for slop between upper and lower. You'll notice the fit the first time you snap them together. Radian also reinforces critical areas during machining for added strength where it counts. Every surface gets smoothed and chamfered so there are no sharp edges that'll tear up your hands during assembly or field stripping.
You'll need a barrel, bolt carrier group, trigger group, and gas tube or piston system depending on your configuration. The kit gives you the receivers and most of the hardware, but those core components require separate selection based on your intended use.
