You still get everything that makes Radian controls a favorite among AR builders: tight tolerances, positive engagement, and that crisp, definitive click when you flip between safe and fire. The OD Green finish gives it a distinctive look that pairs nicely with earth-tone and green-themed builds.

What Makes the Talon-GI Different

The big draw here is the modular throw. You can set the Talon-GI up as a standard 90-degree safety or rotate the shaft during install to run a 45-degree short throw, which lets you flip the safety off faster without breaking your firing grip. That flexibility means you can experiment on the bench and settle on whatever feels right for your shooting style. The single long lever keeps the profile clean on the left side of the receiver while still giving your thumb plenty of purchase.

How the Talon-GI Installs and Holds

Radian ditched the set screws that plague a lot of aftermarket selectors. The lever mounts to a precision-machined dovetail and is held by a spring-loaded retention stud, so there's nothing to work loose, back out, or strip over time. Fewer moving parts means fewer failure points, and once it's seated it stays locked in. A marked safe and fire indicator sits on the weak side of the safety cylinder so you always have a visual reference for the gun's condition.

The Talon-GI drops into most semi-automatic AR-15 and AR-10/SR25-pattern rifles, plus SIG MCX and MPX platforms, so it covers the vast majority of mil-spec lowers out there.
