If you have ever wrestled with the stock MCX charging handle, especially with a low-mounted optic hanging over it, the Radian Raptor-LT solves that problem in a hurry. This is the dedicated MCX version of Radian's flagship ambidextrous handle, purpose-built for the wider charging channel found on the SIG MCX upper. The patented Raptor layout gives you real levers on both sides, so you can grab it with a palm blade or a finger-thumb pinch and rack the bolt cleanly from your strong side or support side without breaking your grip.
The build quality is where this one earns its keep. The handles are machined from 7075 aluminum, given a MIL-SPEC Type III hard anodize, then over-molded with a high-strength fiberglass-reinforced polymer. That combination keeps the weight down while adding an aggressive texture your fingers can find under recoil or with gloves on. The polymer over-mold is also what you see and feel, giving the Raptor-LT its signature grippy surface without turning the whole handle into a boat anchor.
This handle is a direct drop-in for the standard MCX upper and works across the current lineup, including the Spear-LT and Virtus variants. Owners running an LPVO consistently point to it as the fix for a factory handle that sits too close to the scope body. Worth noting: it is not compatible with the MCX Rattler, so if that is your setup you will want to look elsewhere. On everything else, installation is straightforward and takes only a couple minutes with the bolt carrier out.
Across MCX and Spear-LT communities, the Raptor-LT gets called out as one of the first upgrades worth making. It is designed to match standard Magpul color offerings, so the black finish blends right in with a typical MCX build. Radian designs and manufactures everything in the USA and backs it with a limited lifetime warranty, which tells you they stand behind the mechanical reliability that made the Raptor line what it is.
Yes. This MCX-specific Raptor-LT is designed for the standard MCX upper and works across the current MCX lineup, including the Spear-LT and Virtus. Just keep in mind the MCX uses a different charging channel than an AR-15, so a standard AR Raptor-LT will not fit an MCX.
No. Radian lists this handle as not compatible with the SIG MCX Rattler. If you are running a Rattler, you will need a different charging handle designed for that shorter upper.
The stock MCX handle is on the small side with thin tabs that can slow down transitions and one-handed manipulations. The Raptor-LT gives you a true ambidextrous unit with larger levers, which owners running a low-mounted LPVO especially appreciate since the scope no longer gets in the way. It is a common first upgrade for a reason.
Not at all. It drops into the MCX upper in a couple of minutes once the bolt carrier is out, no gunsmithing required. Some owners recommend a little lube on install since it can be a snug fit at first.
