The standard Raptor already earned a reputation as one of the best ambi charging handles you can bolt onto a rifle, and the SD version takes it a step further. It uses a ported shaft that redirects gas down and forward, away from your face, which makes a real difference during long suppressed sessions where back pressure sends fumes right at you. The oversized, textured arms let you charge the rifle with a palm blade, a finger-thumb pinch, or a full grab from either the strong or support side, so the motion stays fast and natural no matter how you run your gun. It's machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with a hard coat anodized finish, so it shrugs off dirt, moisture, and hard use.
The Talon safety is a slick piece of engineering. It's a modular design that installs as a standard 90-degree throw or a 45-degree short throw, and switching between the two is as simple as rotating the shaft 180 degrees inside your lower. The levers lock in with a precision dovetail and a spring-loaded retention stud, so there are no set screws to back out or strip over time. The center shaft is hardened steel with a black nitride finish for the long haul.
Both pieces are proudly made in the USA and share that Flat Dark Earth finish, so they tie a build together nicely. Fitment covers most semi-automatic AR-15 and M16-pattern rifles, making this a straightforward upgrade whether you're finishing a fresh build or refreshing an old workhorse.
