The Radian Weapons Ramjet and Afterburner combo is one of the cleaner ways to add a compensator to a Glock 19 Gen4 without a threaded barrel or any drilling. The Ramjet is a match grade barrel machined from hardened 416R stainless steel with a fluted profile, and it pairs with the Afterburner micro compensator to work as a single tuned system. The magic here is that the barrel has a gas sealing chamber that funnels pressure straight into the comp's ports, which is how such a tiny device pulls its weight. At only .47 inches long, the Afterburner is more effective than a lot of full-size comps out there.
Radian rates the pair at up to 44% recoil reduction with 115 grain ammo, and folks who run it consistently report the same thing: less muzzle flip and a red dot that barely leaves the window between shots. That translates to faster, more accurate follow-ups whether you're shooting a match or just enjoying range time. The barrel also has a loaded chamber indicator cut into the hood, giving you a visual and tactile way to confirm a round is chambered without racking the slide.
Because the Ramjet is threadless, the Afterburner mounts using Radian's INTRA-LOK design. You slide the comp over the muzzle, then a tapered locking screw seats into a V-groove on the underside of the barrel, which times everything perfectly and locks it down tight. It's a simple, repeatable process and it breaks down just as easily for cleaning. A quick note worth passing along: adding a comp changes how gas cycles the gun, so some builds run best with a heavier recoil spring and a bit of ammo testing to dial things in.
Both parts wear a Radianite coating for low friction and corrosion resistance, and the bronze PVD gives this setup a look that stands out on a slide. Installed on a G19, the combo stretches the slide out to Glock 17 length, so you keep your compact grip while gaining compatibility with any G17 holster. Angled front faces on the Afterburner help it feed smoothly into leather or Kydex.
No threading, drilling, or permanent modification is needed. The Ramjet is a threadless drop-in barrel, and the Afterburner slides over the muzzle and locks on with a single tapered INTRA-LOK screw using the included TORX bit. It's a straightforward install and comes apart just as easily for cleaning.
Installed on a G19, the combo extends the slide to Glock 17 length, so it will fit any G17 holster. It also works with a G19 holster that has an open muzzle end. The angled front faces on the Afterburner help it feed smoothly into the holster.
