This Radian AFTERBURNER + RAMJET combo takes a Glock 17 Gen5 and turns it into a flatter-shooting, more controllable pistol without the giant comp hanging off the front. The fluted RAMJET barrel is cut from hardened 416R stainless steel and the AFTERBURNER micro-compensator is machined from hardened 17-4 stainless, both finished with Radian's hard coating for low friction and serious corrosion resistance. It's built to run 124 grain and heavier 9mm loads, which is where you'll feel that recoil reduction really come alive. Radian rates the pair at up to a 44% drop in felt recoil with 115 grain ammo, and folks who've run these on their G17s consistently mention how flat the gun tracks between shots.
At right around half an inch long, the AFTERBURNER does the work of a full-size comp without the clownish overhang. Installed on a G17, the combo only adds about .47 inches to the slide, which means it drops right into any G34 holster you've already got. The angled front faces aren't just for looks either, they help the whole thing feed into leather or kydex without snagging.
This is a threadless setup, so there's no thread pitch to match or crush washer to fuss with. The INTRA-LOK mounting system uses a taper-lock principle where a tapered locking screw grabs an angled V-groove machined into the underside of the barrel. That's what times the comp perfectly every single time and keeps it locked down on the muzzle. Better still, you can pull the slide off the barrel for cleaning without ever removing the compensator, so routine maintenance stays quick.
This kit fits the Glock 17 Gen5 and is also compatible with the G47 and G49. If you're chasing a duty or carry-friendly Glock that shoots flatter and stays on target, this is one of the cleaner ways to get there.
Because the combo only adds about .47 inches to the length of your G17 slide, it drops right into any holster cut for the longer Glock 34. If you're already running a G34 holster, you're set. Standard G17 holsters won't clear the added comp length.

You slide the AFTERBURNER over the barrel and snug down the tapered locking screw, which self-times the comp every time. For cleaning, you can pull the slide off the barrel without ever removing the compensator, so upkeep stays painless.
