Anyone who has hiked a ridge with a rifle sliding down their arm knows the frustration of a sling that won't stay put. The Quake Claw Contour fixes that with a soft-touch polymer pad molded straight into the nylon webbing, giving it a grippy, almost rubbery feel that grabs onto your shoulder and clothing. That pad stretches roughly half an inch under load, which spreads the weight of the firearm across your shoulder and cuts down on the tugging, rolling, and pulling you get from cheaper slings. The contour shape is tapered to ride close to the body, so it feels streamlined without giving up comfort on long carries.
This is a sling built for real weather. The pad stays flexible all the way down to -40 degrees Fahrenheit and is UV stabilized so it won't fade or crack after seasons in the sun. Unlike foam, urethane, or leather, it won't soak up water, which means no waterlogged shoulder pad on a rainy morning and no lingering odor to give you away. A quick wipe with a damp cloth is usually all the cleanup it needs. It's made in the USA and works with rifles, shotguns, muzzleloaders, and just about any firearm wearing standard swivel studs on the buttstock and barrel.
Every Claw Contour ships with a pair of Hush Stalker II metal sling swivels, and these are a genuine upgrade over the rattly hardware you often find. They won't squeak, rust, or clank against your stock, and they run lighter and stronger than conventional metal swivels while fitting all standard studs. The quick-adjust strap lets you dial in length on the fly, and the whole setup carries the firearm barrel up or down when you need your hands free. Hunters tend to buy these two and three at a time once they try one, which tells you plenty about how well they hold up over the long haul.
It works with any rifle, shotgun, or muzzleloader that has standard swivel studs mounted on the buttstock and barrel. The included Hush Stalker II swivels fit all standard studs and won't dent or mar your stock finish. That covers the vast majority of hunting long guns out there.
That's the whole point of the Claw design. The molded polymer pad has a grippy, almost rubbery texture that grabs onto your shoulder and clothing, so it stays put on climbs and long hikes instead of creeping down your arm. The half inch of stretch also spreads the weight to keep it comfortable over distance.
Yes. The soft pad itself makes no noise, and the Hush Stalker II swivels are built specifically so they won't squeak, rust, or rattle against your stock. It's a solid pick for still-hunting or working in close on game where sound matters.
The Contour uses the same durable, non-slip, weather-resistant pad as the original Claw but with a lightweight profile that's tapered to sit closer to your shoulder. It rides more streamlined while keeping the comfort. Many hunters prefer it for that reason.
