Description
Most bolt guns on the shelf are some flavor of the same receiver that has been around since the Kennedy administration. The Fix is not that. Q built this rifle from a clean sheet, starting with a one-piece receiver that skips the whole chassis concept entirely and shaves the weight right off the top. The result is a .308 Win precision rifle that tips the scales at just 6.3 pounds before you add glass, which is lighter than plenty of hunting rifles that give you none of this one's features.
Why The Fix Handles Like Nothing Else
The 45 degree short-throw bolt handle is the party trick here. It cycles fast, keeps your hand close to the trigger, and leaves plenty of clearance for scopes with big ocular bells. The two-stage match trigger breaks clean, and the safety selector, magazine release, and AR-compatible grip all sit right where your thumb expects them if you have spent any time behind an AR-10. Feeding comes from common SR-25 pattern magazines, with a 10-rounder in the box.
A 16 Inch Barrel Built for Suppressors
The lightweight stainless steel barrel runs a 1:10 twist and wears Q's Cherry Bomb muzzle brake on 5/8×24 threads with a tapered shoulder, so mounting a can is quick and repeatable without fussing over timing. At 16 inches, the barrel keeps the whole package handy in a blind, a truck, or a pack, and the .308 chambering still delivers plenty of reach for deer, hogs, and steel.
Folding Stock, Full-Size Capability
The fully adjustable stock folds the rifle down to 25.9 inches, which is shorter than some takedown rifles, and extends to a full 36.6 inches when it is time to work. Length of pull and comb height dial in to fit you, and the full-length Picatinny top rail plus the free-floated Q-SERT handguard give you room for optics, bipods, and whatever else your setup calls for. This blue-accented version adds a little personality to a rifle that already has plenty.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is The Fix suppressor ready out of the box?
Yes. The 16-inch barrel comes threaded 5/8×24 with Q's tapered shoulder design and ships with the Cherry Bomb muzzle brake installed. That taper lets Q's suppressors mount up quick and return to the same position every time, and the standard thread pitch works with most .30 caliber cans on the market. A suppressor is not included.
What magazines does the Q Fix 308 use?
The Fix feeds from SR-25 pattern magazines, the same ones used by most large-frame AR-10 style rifles. That means Magpul PMAGs and similar mags are cheap and easy to find just about anywhere. One 10-round magazine comes with the rifle.
How compact is The Fix with the stock folded?
Folded, the rifle measures just 25.9 inches, which fits in packs and cases that most bolt guns could never squeeze into. Extended, it runs 35.1 to 36.6 inches depending on your length of pull setting. At 6.3 pounds bare, it carries noticeably lighter than a typical precision rifle.
What ammo runs best in The Fix?
Any quality .308 Win or 7.62 NATO load will shoot well, and the 1:10 twist stabilizes the full range of common bullet weights. Q does note that some loads built specifically for semi-autos use harder primers, so standard bolt-gun or match ammunition is the way to go for the most consistent ignition. Match loads in the 168 to 175 grain range are a popular pairing for precision work.
