The Rear End is Q's answer to a question a lot of Cherry Bomb owners have asked over the years: what happens when the mount gets carbon-locked inside the can? This version keeps everything people like about the original Cherry Bomb, the Quickie Fast-Attach taper interface, the 1/2 inch front socket, the compact footprint, and adds 3/4 inch wrench flats at the rear so you have a mechanical backup when things get stubborn. It threads onto 5/8×24 barrels with a standard 90 degree shoulder and has a 7.62mm bore, which also covers smaller calibers running through the same thread pitch.
This mount pairs with the Thunder Chicken, Trash Panda, and other Q silencers built around the same taper interface, along with third-party cans designed to accept Plan-B style mounts. The taper design self-centers and tightens up consistently, so your suppressor returns to the same position every time you spin it on. That repeatability matters for point of impact shift, and it's a big part of why this mounting system has such a loyal following. When you're running without the can, the radial ports work as a functional brake rather than just a thread protector.
Install is refreshingly simple. The front of the device accepts a 1/2 inch socket, which is the preferred method for torquing it on and off the barrel. No crush washers, no shims, no timing headaches, since the circumferential ports don't care about orientation. If the device ever seizes inside your suppressor from carbon buildup, the rear flats give you a way to break it loose without drama.
At 1.71 inches long and a feathery 2 ounces, the Rear End adds almost nothing to your barrel. It's machined from 17-4 stainless steel, a heat-treatable alloy that shrugs off muzzle blast and repeated mounting cycles. If you're setting up multiple hosts for one Q suppressor, or just want the improved version of a proven mount, this is the one to grab.
It's built around Q's Quickie Fast-Attach taper interface, so it pairs directly with the Thunder Chicken and Trash Panda. It also works with other silencers designed to accept Plan-B or Cherry Bomb style taper mounts. If your can uses that taper system, this mount will run on it.
The mounting interface and port design are the same, so performance is identical. The Rear End adds 3/4 inch wrench flats at the back of the device, giving you a way to break the mount free if carbon buildup locks it inside your suppressor. It's the same proven design with an extra escape hatch.
Thread it onto a 5/8×24 muzzle with a standard 90 degree shoulder and torque it down using a 1/2 inch socket on the front of the device, which is Q's preferred method. The 360 degree radial ports mean there's no timing required, so you can skip crush washers and shims entirely.
