The Q Honey Badger Adjustable Gas Block takes the exact tuning setup Q uses on their flagship Honey Badger and puts it on a standalone block that fits any .750-inch profile barrel. Instead of fixed detents or click positions, this one is infinitely adjustable, meaning you can meter gas flow to precisely where your build wants it rather than settling for the closest notch. Machined from heat-treated stainless steel, it shrugs off corrosion and holds up to the heat and carbon that gas blocks live with, and at right around three-quarters of an ounce it won't weigh down a lightweight build.
The system is refreshingly simple. One stainless set screw opens or restricts the flow of gas heading back to your bolt carrier, and a second screw locks that adjustment in place so it stays put through recoil and rough handling. A single set screw on the bottom clamps the block to your barrel for quick, no-nonsense installation. Q includes the adjustment steps on pages 10 and 11 of the Honey Badger manual, so you're not left guessing.
Most factory AR barrels come over-gassed on purpose so they'll run dirty and reliable with all kinds of ammo. That extra gas means snappier recoil and more junk blowing back at your face, especially once you thread on a suppressor. Dialing this block back to a minimum reliable setting smooths out the cycle, cuts down on port pop and gas to the eyes, and eases wear on your bolt, extractor, and buffer. It's a favorite for suppressed setups and .300 Blackout builds where you're bouncing between subsonic and supersonic loads and want the action to run clean either way.
This block is built for .750-inch barrels and works with standard AR-style direct impingement gas systems. Keep in mind the gas tube is not included, and you'll want a .05-inch Allen key and a 5/64 Allen key on hand for install since those aren't in the box either. No, the gas tube is not included with this block. You'll need to supply your own gas tube sized for your barrel's gas system length. Plan on picking one up if you don't already have a spare on hand.
