Anyone running a HUB suppressor on a Cherry Bomb or Rearden-style taper device already knows the drill: the standard-length adapters work great until you bolt on a longer three-port muzzle device and run out of room. That's exactly the gap the PWS BDE PUB-XL fills. It threads into the 1.375×24 HUB interface on the rear of your suppressor and gives you the added clearance those extended devices need, so everything seats correctly and locks up the way it should.
The design is simple and that's what makes it good. The tapered interface pulls the can down tight and concentric every time you spin it on, with no wrenches, collars, or shims involved. Once the mount is torqued into your suppressor (PWS calls for 25 to 35 ft-lbs max), swapping the can between hosts takes seconds, and it returns to the same position each time so your point of impact stays predictable. It plays nice with PWS FRC compensators, the Q LLC Cherry Bomb, Rearden muzzle devices, and other taper mounts built to that same pattern.
This is a stainless steel part wearing a black Cerakote finish, made in the USA by Primary Weapons Systems. Heat, carbon, and weather are just part of life at the muzzle end of a rifle, and this mount is built for that environment. It's a compact piece too, measuring roughly 1.35 inches long, so it adds minimal length and weight to your setup.
If you're running standard-length taper devices, the regular PUB mount handles that fine. The XL exists specifically for three-port comps and other longer muzzle devices where the standard mount doesn't provide enough depth. If your rifle wears an FRC three-port or a similar extended device, this is the version you want. One mount per suppressor is the way to go if you rotate a single can across several rifles, since you can leave a compatible muzzle device on each host and move the suppressor freely between them.
Both use the same 1.375×24 HUB thread and the same taper interface, but the XL provides additional internal clearance. That extra depth is what lets it seat properly on three-port muzzle devices and other extended-length comps where the standard PUB runs out of room. If your muzzle device is a longer three-port design, go with the XL.
