The PTR Vent 2 is a 9mm suppressor machined from a single piece of 3D-printed titanium, with no welded joints, stacked baffles, or assembly seams to come loose over time. That monolithic structure is the backbone of the whole design, giving you a can that's tough and thermally resilient while staying light on the muzzle. At 7.6 inches long, 1.5 inches in diameter, and 8.9 ounces, the Vent 2 sits right in the sweet spot between a full-size subgun can and a handgun suppressor. This one wears a Flat Dark Earth finish over its proprietary internal and external coatings.
The star of the show is PTR's Purposely Induced Porosity, or PIP, technology. Instead of relying only on traditional baffles, the Vent 2 uses a porous internal structure to actively manage how gas expands, which translates to strong sound suppression and noticeably low back pressure. Less gas blowing back into the action means a cleaner shooting experience, less face full of fumes, and reduced port pop. That matters most on semi-auto PCCs and subguns where back pressure can really wear on you over a range session.
The rear of the body is threaded in the SilencerCo Alpha 1.125×28 pattern, which opens the door to a wide range of piston and 3-lug mounting options already on the market. It ships with a 1/2×28 direct-thread adapter installed, so you can run it straight out of the box on a threaded 9mm host. The Alpha interface also accommodates compatible booster systems for use with appropriate tilting-barrel handguns.
Beyond 9mm, the Vent 2 carries a wide caliber rating. It's full-auto rated for 9mm with no barrel restriction, rated for 120 rounds full-auto with a 10-minute cool-down, and also cleared for .357 Magnum, .38 Special, and 300 Blackout subsonic on barrels 8 inches or longer. That versatility lets one can cover several hosts in the safe.
The Vent 2 uses a 1.125×28 SilencerCo Alpha rear thread pattern and ships with a 1/2×28 direct-thread adapter already installed. That means you can thread it directly onto a standard 1/2×28 9mm host right away. Because of the Alpha interface, you can also swap in compatible piston and 3-lug mounts down the road.
