The MTR stands for Mountain Tactical Rifle, and the parts list reads like a custom build sheet. You can. The 22 inch barrel comes threaded 5/8-24 from the factory with a thread protector installed, so it accepts most common suppressors and muzzle brakes without any gunsmith work. The 6.5 PRC also suppresses nicely for a magnum-class cartridge.
The 6.5 PRC version runs a 1:7.5 twist, which is quick enough to stabilize the long, high-BC bullets this cartridge was built around. Factory loads in the 140 to 156 grain range, like ELD Match, ELD-X, and Berger offerings, are where this rifle tends to do its best work.
It ships with a single-piece pinned Picatinny rail already mounted on the receiver, so you just need rings and an optic. Since the Zermatt Origin action uses a Remington 700 footprint, aftermarket support for accessories is about as broad as it gets.
