The ProMag TAU19 is a 10-round extended magazine purpose-built for the Taurus TCP .380 ACP. It's constructed from heat-treated carbon steel with a blued finish and uses a chrome-silicon wire spring paired with a precision-molded polymer follower. The magazine extends past the pistol grip's base, giving you nearly double the standard 6-round capacity.
This extended magazine shines for range work and training when you want more rounds between reloads. The extra capacity means fewer magazine changes and more time actually shooting. The tight fit and extended profile make it less suitable for concealed carry, but it's a solid choice as a backup magazine or for practitioners who prioritize capacity.
ProMag backs every magazine with a lifetime warranty against manufacturer defects, and these are manufactured in the USA. The magazine works best with newer Taurus TCP models, as compatibility can vary between production years and series. Some users report it feeds flawlessly once broken in, while others have needed minor adjustments to the feed lips to get optimal performance.
Compatibility varies depending on your TCP production year and series. Newer models and later-production guns tend to work better with the TAU19. Some earlier TCP variants may require minor feed lip adjustments. If you own an older or different variant, test it before relying on it for range use.
The TAU19 extends significantly past the pistol grip, which makes it less ideal for concealed carry where you want a compact profile. It works better as a backup magazine or for range and training sessions where you want extended capacity.
Many users report the magazine feeds best after some use. Some find it performs well right out of the box, while others have needed to cycle rounds through it or make minor adjustments to the feed lips. Starting with range rounds and testing thoroughly before relying on it for defense is a good approach.
The standard Taurus TCP comes with a 6-round magazine, so the TAU19 nearly doubles your capacity at 10 rounds. This means fewer reloads during extended range sessions or training drills.
Every ProMag magazine, including the TAU19, comes with a lifetime guarantee against manufacturer defects. If you experience any manufacturing issue, you can return the magazine and receive a replacement.
